Laura Lynne Freeman

Performance Bio

Laura Freeman is a collaborative pianist from Rochester, New York. She is a frequent performer, collaborating with choirs, theater companies, and individuals.

Freeman is an adjunct faculty member at Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University. She also teaches piano lessons at the Roberts Community Music School. Freeman is an experienced church musician, having served as a pianist/organist for the United Methodist Church of North Chili and several churches in the Rochester Catholic diocese.

In 2022, Freeman made her Carnegie Hall debut in a concert representing Syracuse University. She was also selected to attend the Opera Viva! Young Artists Summer Program in Verona, Italy in 2022 and SongFest 2023 in the Professional Piano Program in Nashville, Tennessee.

Freeman earned a B.S. in Piano Performance from Roberts Wesleyan University and an M.M. in Piano Performance with a Collaborative Emphasis from Syracuse University.

Teaching Portfolio

I serve as the instructor of record at Syracuse University for AMC 120 and AMC 200, two beginner piano courses for non-majors. I also work as a teaching assistant for the Keyboard Skills I-IV classes. Additionally, I maintain a small private studio for individual piano lessons.
